Financial Literacy Students Can Take to the Bank

Too often youth enter adulthood without a foundational understanding of personal finances, forced to learn critical skills only after making costly mistakes. 21st CCLC programs are uniquely positioned to fill this gap. You’re not just teaching budgeting; you’re providing a shield against future financial pitfalls. Join us for a deep dive into the five key concepts of financial literacy — earning, spending, credit and debt, insuring, and saving and investing. Participants will explore the Financial Literacy Toolkit, use tools to align activities with academic standards, evaluate the efficacy of external resources, and launch student-led awareness campaigns. You will leave with a "vault" of ready-to-use activities that empower students and families to build a healthy financial future.
